Welcome back friends π§ββοΈ
Today is actually the first day of spring and what some people actually consider the start of the new year!
I apologize for being MIA for a little bit. Winter is always a tough time for me, even though I live in the southern part of the country, the lower UV and shorter day time really affects how I feel.
Thatβs something I have talked to many people about and Iβve heard from almost everyone that they feel ashamed that they donβt feel good when itβs not sunny. I actually would argue that that is what makes us human, humans require sun to function optimally so thatβs nothing to be ashamed about π
I am always amazed at how the light does impact me- from energy levels, to the type of food I crave, to the things I want to do.
Spring is typically also the time when I get a burst of creative energy and pick up my blog again π€£π€£
So here we are! I am planning to share some more fun recipes on here and just continue to reflect on my health journey and all the growth I have made , not just physically but especially mentally and emotionally.
To me Spring signifies letting go. I also think your bodies naturally cleanse in this time of year and interestingly Iβve craved a lot of greens and herbs the last few weeks π₯π₯¦π₯

Letting go also means reflecting on the things you surround yourself with everyday including your thoughts and your friends. Itβs a time to really set goals , establish boundaries and gather momentum to make the year what you want it to be!

I was gifted this gorgeous 5 Minute Journal by οΏΌ one of my friends a couple of weeks ago and it has made a huge difference in my mindset every day. I encourage you to pick up the habit of journaling or simply expressing gratitude and goal setting π
Spring is also the time to nourish with lots of sweet fruit and honey to gather energy for the coming year and indulge in raw dairy (milk is the most nutrient dense in the spring) π₯

This season is going to be healing on many levels π
Love , Helen
