Grilled duck breast is a family favorite and a nice alternative to chicken or beef for Sunday night dinner π
Duck is best served medium rare and tastes like a mixture of beef and chicken, in my opinion. It definitely is not bland so only needs minimal seasoning. I just use salt and pepper, and sometimes a Chinese 5 Spice blend πͺπ»
Getting corn and soy free duck is the healthiest option!
To make you need:
Duck breast- either airline or boneless π¦
Ghee for frying π§
Spices- salt is enough but Chinese five spice is delicious too
How to:
Make sure to score the skin on the duck breast to get a superior sear! This way, some of the fat will render out and make the skin crispy π
Next, heat up ghee in a pan. Start by searing the duck breast skin side down. This should take about 5 minutes. Flip the breast and cook for another 3-5 minutes until medium well π season well!
Serve with butter and your favorite sides! Unpopular opinion but it goes well with avocado and fried eggs π³
