This dish is made with Matjes which is a German specialty- pickled herring π
To make you need:
1.5 lbs pickled Hering aka Matjes π
400 g cream fraiche or sour cream π₯
Sea salt π§
Sliced 2 green onion π§
Sliced one white onion π§
Optional- diced apple π
How to:
Mix the cream fraiche or sour cream with sea salt to taste. Chop the onions and add to the sauce.
Next cut the Matjes into pieces and add.
Let sit overnight and enjoy the next day! Traditionally served with potatoes!
