This recipe is a fun play on a very common carnivore meal- the burger patty π
We decided to dress them up , French onion π§ soup style with melted cheese and caramelized onions fried in bacon grease π
If youβre very hungry you can top it with a fried egg π³ as well or use a base of egg white bread π
To make you need per person:
2 4 ounce beef π₯© burger Patties – I love Apsey Farms ground beef- you can use code HELEN10
1/4 large onion thinly sliced π§
2 of your favorite cheese π§ slices
Bacon grease for frying
Optional – eggs and egg white bread π
To make:
Prepare 2 pans, and heat up bacon grease. In one, sear the burger Patties and season with your favorite spices.
In the other sear the thinly sliced onion until browned and crispy! Season to your liking.
When the meat is ready, top with sliced cheese so that it can melt. Now is the time to toast the egg white bread or fry the eggs if you want them.
Top the cheese burgers with the onion, egg and optional pickles, Mayo etc
