Carnivore Scotch Eggs πŸ₯š

About 2 months ago, my family started an experiment- the carnivore diet πŸ₯© while to some it sounds crazy to just eat animal meat and fat, trust me, we thought it was…we decided to give it a try to see if we can further our healing β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

After learning that plants have many anti-nutrients that can interfere with nutrient absorption and utilization, I decided that my sick body needs some support and that it’s not fair for me to expect it to heal if it can’t get everything it needs by eating predominantly plants. It was hard for me to give up my favorite plants like avocado πŸ₯‘ but right now I’m reaping many benefits and I’m hoping to introduce them back to my diets in small amounts in the future!

If you’re interested to learn more, feel free to drop a comment and I can post more about my experience 🧈

Here is the official first carnivore recipe πŸ₯“πŸ₯š

One of the first things we made were scotch eggs and we hope you enjoy them too, even if you’re not a carnivore!!

For 4 eggs you need:

1 pound ground meat πŸ₯© (we chose 80/20 ground beef because we need to make sure we get enough animal fat)

1 raw egg for the batter πŸ₯š

1/2 cup crushed pork rinds πŸ–

Salt πŸ§‚

4 boiled eggs πŸ₯š

How to:

Boil your eggs for about 7 minutes and let them cool. In the mean time, combine the meat with the raw egg, pork rinds and salt to create a batter.

Make 4 flat Patties and place an egg into the center of each, wrap the meat around the egg.

Set your airfryer to 450Β°F and cook for 10-12 minutes, flip halfway!

Enjoy with butter 🧈

You can eat a few for a meal or 1 as a side. I like to make little meat sampler platters but my mom prefers one type at eat meal!
