Halibut is a yummy white fish that works well with many different flavors, today I chose to sautΓ© it with garlic butter, tomatoes and herbs which create a delicious sauce around the fish π
We try to eat fresh fish a few times a week for dinner, and I also like to have canned SMASH fish a few times a week for lunch, either in a salad or noodle bowl because seafood is just so so good for you π¦π
You can check out my entire guide to seafood here!
We got our halibut filets from Vital Choice Seafood, which is my go-to seafood supplier!
To make this (1 portion) you need π©π»βπ³
1 halibut filet: about 6 ounces π
Garlic butter, you can use my recipe if youβd like π§
A handful of cherry tomatoes π
Sea salt and pepper π§
Garlic or onion powder π§
Fresh herbs of your choice, I went for chives π±
How to π©π»βπ³:
Start by heating up garlic butter in a pan. While that is melting, rinse the halibut filet, pat dry, and salt both sides with sea salt.

Place the halibut into the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes on one side. While itβs cooking, slice the cherry tomatoes and chop the herbs.

Then, flip the fish and put in the tomatoes. Place a lid onto the pan and let it simmer on low heat for another 5-6 minutes.

Lastly, add in your herbs, and season with pepper, and garlic powder π§ I grilled some broccoli in garlic butter ahead of time and just added it back into the pan to heat it up again.

Serve with more garlic butter, your favorite Keto Mayo, and veggies of your choice! We love it with mashed romanesco, onion and snap pea sautΓ©, or with a pasta swap π€©
